Senta Protect is a specialty protective tampon for swimming which is saturated with high-quality Vaseline oil in accordance with the purity rules of the European Pharmacopoeia. Water can enter the vagina when women are swimming, undergoing spa treatments or playing water sports. This in turn can increase the pH in the vagina (alkalisation), causing a disturbance in the microsystem. This makes the contact surface area for bacteria and yeasts larger. Senta Protect reduces the penetration of potentially contaminated or chlorinated water into the vagina, thus minimising contact surface area for bacteria and yeasts. The size of this tampon is equivalent to the size of a “normal” tampon.
