Rauscher First Aid Boxes for working places and for building sites

Rauscher First Aid Boxes for working places and for building sites - complying with the requirements and test methods of Austrian standard ÖNORM Z1020
|
|
|
The Austrian standard ÖNORM Z1020 of 1 August 2001 specifies the design, materials and contents requirements for First Aid boxes for use in working places and on building sites. The contents are based on the requirements of the Austrian Employee Protection Act.
The First Aid boxes are available in two different sizes - depending on the number of employees, the potential hazards and rapid accessibility in the event of First Aid being required quickly. Rapid accessibility means the possibility of First Aid being given within 3 minutes.
Depending on the results of an evaluation (in consultation with the works doctor and safety officer), it may be sensible to install several small First Aid boxes at selected locations.
Type 1 for units of up to 5 employees:
Dimensions approx. 31 x 22 x 10 cm, in metal or plastic
Type 2 for units of up to 20 employees:
Dimensions approx. 37 x 31 x 14 cm, in metal or plastic
If there are more than 20 employees, the number of First Aid boxes needed must be determined according to reference values and other circumstances.
Important:
The contents should be checked every six months. The expiry date of any products labelled with a date should be checked.
On building sites, in production facilities with widely dispersed units, laboratories and residential blocks, we recommend providing several First Aid Boxes of Types 1 and 2, according to the number of employees.
