About Us

Rauscher was founded in 1899 in Vienna to manufacture and sell surgical dressings and nursing products. In just a short time, Rauscher had become one of the leading suppliers of dressings and hygiene products in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The company also overcame the setbacks of the two world wars. Its commercial success since 1945 has been sustained by continuous expansion. In the mid-1980s, companies were set up in Germany and France and marketing was extended to cover the whole of Europe.

In 1998, Rauscher founded a joint venture together with Lohmann, a German manufacturer of medical products, under the name of Lohmann & Rauscher International GmbH & Co KG.

The Rauscher Consumer Group is an independent division of this company.
The Consumer Group has two production centres:
in Austria (Schönau near Vienna) and in Germany (Lössnitztal near Chemnitz).

Rauscher Consumer Products regards itself as a manufacturer and distributor of value for money branded products, as well as private labels in the consumer products sector.
Our strengths lie in the production of cosmetics products made from wadding, feminine hygiene products, First Aid products and bandages.

Our success is founded on a high degree of customer orientation, high standards of quality and strong opportunity management.
